Our Story
R&M Thrift Shop is a for-profit organization, dedicated to providing a wide selection of quality goods to the public. We carry a large selection of new and gently used products: clothing, shoes, furniture, housewares, books, toys, electronics, miscellaneous accessories and more for the entire family. R&M Thrift Shop gets its merchandise from non-profit organization, liquidations and buy-outs. We also buy directly from manufacturers. This enables us to offer unbelievably low prices to our customers.
R&M Thrift Shop believes that it is extremely important to give back and strengthen the communities where we work and live. To accomplish this, our giving programs focus on Marshville, NC and surrounding communities in the area where our business is located. The merchandise we sell (largely in part to donations made by you), help us supply low-income individuals and families within our community, with low cost, quality merchandise. Our action also helps recycling efforts and provides you with a fun shopping experience.

Do you accept donations?
Yes! We will gladly accept your gently used items during our regular store hours.

Will you pick up donations?
We can schedule pick-ups of large furniture donations, provided that the items are in very good condition and ready for sale. For Marshville NC, please call 704-579-3629. For Monroe NC, please call 704-579-3629. For Anson and Wadesboro NC, please call 704-579-3629. Allow at least one week to schedule a pickup. At busy times our schedule may be filled 2-4 weeks out.

Do you make deliveries?
Not offered at this time.

Are there any items you can not accept?
Unfortunately, we can not accept donations of items that are not in a good, sellable condition, those that are hazardous, or that may result in a liability issue. Items we can not accept include (but are not limited to): broken items (including any rips, stains, tears, bugs, excessive pet hair, or odors), items with missing pieces, recalled items, bicycle or motorcycle helmets, child cribs or car seats, baby clothes with drawstrings, electronics that may have your personal information (including computers, cell phones, printers), CRT/Tube TV's and monitors, or dishwashers. If you are in doubt, please email a photo and description to rickyponds@thethriftshopllc.com for evaluation.
